I can't really give good advice on this, since I've only tried out the
keyboard I currently use. All I can say is it behaves pretty well and it
fulfills my needs, maybe sometimes an octave more would come handy, but not
even that often. I have a CME UF5 (I think it's the 5, not sure). It's a
49-key unit. It's got 9 sliders and 8 knobs to control midi parameters, a
continuous knob for changing instrument as well as quite a few buttons to
transport octave up and down, semitone up and down, and some other functions
I don't use much. In terms of accessibility I don't think I can complain
about anything, except maybe the repurposing of the sliders and knobs is a
bit awkward to work out, if you want to change the controller number for the
messages they send. You can of course do that from QWS after the fact
though, but it helps to hear what the controller changes you send are doing.
It's also got some buttons for controlling a sequencer (stop, play,
record...) but I think QWS does not support them at this point.
