I had a similar problem with my creative soundcard but since I was using the
keyboard as both the input and output device I didn't worry too much about
it.
I really don't know what to do about it, maybe some asio drivers would help
but maybe Creative has them built in. I don't really know.

The thing that needs fixing IMO, is the lag. As David mentioned, avoid
the MS synth, which I have done. I'm using the Creative Softfont synth.
Thanks for clearing that up about trying to update drivers that aren't
there! If I can just get the lag problem solved, I'll be in good shape!

You cannot install a driver for a keyboard unless that keyboard has a usb
port. Your keyboard has a midi port, and so you would not be able to
update it in the fassion you are trying too.
Right now, your setup works. Don't try to fix what is not broken. Your
USB midi interface functions. Given that this is the case, exactly what
else are you trying to achieve here?
