It is pretty logical, but the apostrophe being a g instead of an f is a little difficult to master. But if you're playing in c and g, which I believe are the most common keys, you have an easy way to get to the top g. If that key was an f, you'd have to press what you hope is the right number for the right octave, then press the correct letter to get the correct g.
