Hi list,
I know I had asked this about a week ago but my need for it is crucial
at this particular time. I sought to use several software that
together would allo me to render my own midi creations or song
sequencing data into any yamaha keyboard style file. However, the
problem lies fundamentally in that the markers i place on the midi
file MUST not be labelled anything but say, mainA, mainB, fill-in AB,
ETC. to delimit the style sections. The problem now is that qws does
not support text markers. It does support markers but qws assigns its
own proprietary names to markers (like left, right, and 1 through 20)
but that doesn't help since I need to modify the marker names so that
I can propperly delimit the accompaniment style sections. I know other
sequencers (which I can't afford right now) such as cakewalk let you
place markers and then you can define or put the name you want to
those markers. So the question is.. is there any possibility that
something like this can also be implemented on QWS? I think it'd be
more helpful because when I'm workin g with midi files I forget
frequently where I had placed the 2nd marker, the first one, and so
on. I think naming them would be useful on that respect, and of course
the midi file would store such info, not qws.
