Greetings. I am glad you are going to be able to use your Midisport 2x2
now. In any case, to not use the metronome during playback, simply press
f4 to stop it. It's the easiest way.
To answer your other question that you posted in your message about
instrument lists, choose XG, as Yamaha products use that unless otherwise
specified.
