I think. that audiotutorial is a good idea, but don't forget about Andrew idea, many people can create tutorials for other users. BTW here in Slovakia we have a computer-camp called reset, where i will introduce QWS, i produced 26 pages of handout (in Slovak) +example midi files where people will do a tasks like quantize, transpose and so on. I am not sure if I will be able to create an audio tutorial because of my not quite well english grammar, but i there will be a chance, I will try it.

Man, go for it! I'd love to see an audio tutorial, I know many who would
benefit. I know most of the stuff myself but I am not good at making
tutorials, or explaining it to someone who knows very little about it
and who doesn't like reading manuals.

Subject: QWS List Audio tutorials

Hi folks,

I have been reading with interest some of the comments about whether
you think QWS is easy to use or not.

Regarding audio tutorials, a few months back I did start trying to put
together some basic audio tutorials and completed session 1 & 2. I
wanted to do at least one more before uploading them all, but if you
would find these basic things helpful, let me know.

From memory, here's what the first couple include:

Session 1:
What is QWS?
What's MIDI?
What do I need?
Where do I get QWS?
Installation;
First run;
The main screen;
Loading and playing the demo song;
Creating your first song;
The onscreen keyboard;
Basic realtime recording;

Session 2:
Connecting an external keyboard;
Recording from the keyboard;
Track properties;
Programs and banks;

In session 3, I planned to introduce some of the basic editing tools
such as the note editor, quantise tool etc.

Ah yes, one point I will throw out generally: one of the key things we
would all do well to remember when using QWS: Read the status bar: it
tells you where you are - you'll find this particularly useful in the
note editor.

Hope this helps.

James.
