Hi.
When you set your Jaws punctuation to all, it usually does the trick. NVDA
also works quite nicely with QWS.
Local on/off i just press alt m plus l, that's all. If it's on or off, just
to make sure it's off.
Just a quick keyboard shortcut.
Midi through stays on most of the time anyway, doesn't it?
But yes, the solo and mute punctuation indication is a nice thing to have.
Now you could always know by the plus or exclamation marks whether it's
muted or soloed.
Thanks James!
Also what i like is the function to unmute all.
Always helps.
Another thing. Maybe you could create a Jaws configuration file, and set the
punctuation and verbosity levels in there, so you don't everytime you switch
between QWS and other programs, have to change your Jaws settings?
Dewald.

Subject: QWS List Mute and Solo Alerts and Indicators
If these already exist in QWS, I apologize in advance for asking for
them, but if they're already here, I surely can't find them.
When I solo or mute a track with S or M (or even if I select it from
the track menu), could I get a verbal indication that solo or mute is
on, and could I get something in the status area that shows they're
on? Same for local on/off and MIDI THRU/off would be good, too. It's
quite possible to work around these with a JAWS script to detect the
status of a checkbox in a menu, and I'm sure Window-Eyes could be
coaxed into providing this notification as well, but I always thought
that the whole point of QWS was not to need any special-purpose
speechware coding to make it do its otherwise excellent dances with
information. Mute/Solo on/off would sure be a nice help.
