Hi,
The configuration stuff is something I'd like to see. As for tip of the day, I just turn that off, but those options would be nice, I don't know if they exist or not. I don't remember having a tip of the day not read properly, maybe Jaws does something different? It's been so long since i've used it though. The volume, pan and reverb stuff would be really nice too, if the midi didn't specify otherwise. As for controlling pitch bend range, you might be able to use your pitch bend range setting on your keyboard, if it has one. That might send the necessary midi messages. but if not, then you can use the event list, or controller editors. You need to insert controllers 100, 101, and 6 for that. They should be in that order in the midi file, preferably very close together. Supposedly controller 38 should be added at the end of that order, but I never needed it for it to work. Controller 6, which is the data entry, will control how far the pitch bends. You set the value of the controller to the number of semitones you want it to go. so for this case you'd set the value to 12 to go an octave either way. If you don't know how to use the event list or controller editors, it's not terribly hard, and the manual does explain those in detail (at least the event list, I haven't touched the controller editor yet). I'm not sure if you were having trouble with what controllers you needed or whether you didn't know how to put them in, or both. If it's an issue of simply how to put them in, I can speak for the event list only right now.

I have a couple of configuration questions.
First, does the tip of the day text reside in a file somewhere that QWS
uses? I'd like to edit it so that I remove the tips that I already use all
the time so I get more focused help on things. I'd also like to be able to
read the rest of the tips that go over the size of the window -- sometimes I
get only half of the tip.
Second, is there somewhere I can set the default attributes? I'd love to be
able to set Volume to 127, Pan to 64, Reverb to 0, and Chorus to 0 on
everything I open, as it'd save me lots of time in setting up something I
just imported.
One more thing -- does anyone know how to change the bender range in the Onj
sound font? I have some things where I need a full octave of bend in each
direction.
