The answer is yes and yes. There're two different ways of doing it.
You can use something called VMWare which will allow you to run
Windows 7 as a virtual machine--while OSX is booted, press a key and
you're in Windows, press it again and you're back to your Mac.
However, doing it another way, with Boot Camp, creating a dual-boot
system, is preferable in many ways, not the least of which is that you
get more and better drivers and support when dual-booting. It's not
too hard to set up and there's lots of online support for either
method, a lot of it on Apple email lists.
