I don't know anything else to try. What sound card are you trying to use Asio with? Just remember that you are not looking in VST Host's device options. That will only give you MME and Direct Sound I believe. There is a asio control panel option which you have to use instead which will take you to some settings for asio 4 all. I'm sure you know this but i am just making sure. I have no clue what the disconnected thing is about. I've heard that people have had success with external sound cards, but until I got it working with one, it was easier to just put up with the slight lag with MME, which isn't as bad as some would like you to believe.
    Does anyone have any further input on this?

no luck, went in to vsthost and tryed to change the soundcard, but got nothing.
