Actually, as far as programming is concerned, it's not the local message 
that matters. All James need do is set a boolean flag that remembers whether

the local state is on or off and use that to link the toggle key with. The 
only slight hitch is when the program starts it would be difficult to 
determine the state of the local on the module at the time, though if the 
auto message setting is used then the flag is just set at startup and 
beyond.

I'm not sure if you can do that, because the Local off message is different
to the Local on message, and QWS probably can't determine the state of local
mode from the keyboard, so it would have to be a separate key for each.
Midi is pretty dumb that way.
