Hi Liz Indeed there is a setting for the number of beats to be sounded by the metronome before playback, as well as a separate setting for recording.
Press alt to activate the menu bar. Right arrow to options. Down arrow once to "metronome" press enter to invoke the "metronome dialogue box" your cursor is on the edit box for the number of beats to sound for playback type the number you want you can tab once to the edit box for the number of beats to sound for recording you can also type in the number you want there the rest of the fields in the dialogue box allow you to alter the sound of the metronome (first beat, and rest of beats of bars) if you keep on tabbing you'll get to the okay button space bar on it to close the dialogue box and accept your changes. Hope this helps David. ----- Original Message ----- From: Liz Wade To: QWS list Sent: Wednesday, March 06, 2013 9:34 PM Subject: QWS List new user question Hi: I have just recently begun using your qws midi sequencer and I have a question. When I play my midi file I hear 15 bars of metronome before bar 1 of my score begins is there a way to have the metronome begin at the point it is supposed to rather than so many bars before? I thought the bars were being inserted but now am not sure. When I go to bar 1 beat 1, I am taken to the correct location however. I just find it a little confusing sometimes with the extra metronome beats playing before the score. Thanks in advance and I hope I made some sort of sense. Liz wade No virus found in this message.
