Hi,
Cool Soft uses the Bassmidi engine, so apart from a few additional functions/options, it's about the same. I prefer Bass because it has two ports, is almost completely accessible, and just seems to run smoother on my system, but both sound the same and both can be configured quite a bit. I'd say if there's a Cool Soft feature you need, then try it, but otherwise it probably won't be worth it.

Interesting. Is it just a sound font player, or does it have other
functions? And do you need to use a virtual MIDI cable with it, or can QWS
access it directly?
And do you have any preferred sites to download it? If it is more than just
a sound font player then it could be useful.

"I use a software synthesizer named cool soft virtual midi synth."
Is this accessible with some screenreader or do you use magnifier?
