First, open an ini file for another instrument and make sure your header
information and structure of the patch table is correct. Then save it and
make the file name comply with the standard list name options. Then you want
to save it in your c:\program files\QWS folder, assuming of course that you
use C: as your primary local disk on your machine. Now open up QWS and go to
the instrument entry on the settings menu (I think that's the right entry,
if not someone else please correct) and check if it's in the list of
possible options. If it isn't then you have a problem with your file. Open
it up and check for any non-allowed characters, like question marks, extra
commas, slashes of both types, asterisks, etc. If you don't find any respond
back and I'll give you a trick to help to figure out just where the problem
is.
