There are other options besides MIDIYoke. Try LoopMIDI or Maple Leaf for other virtual MIDI cables. Or you might find some other choices if you search using the parameter virtual+MIDI+cable+Windows+10. Also ask on other lists. This is fundamental to getting stand alones or VSTs to work at the current time. Another option is to run Reaper and assign QWS as your MIDI editor. I know folks who've had success with this. As for Sound Fonts, you want a driver solution for this. BassMIDI and Coolsoft both will do this. These programs install as drivers so you access them like you would the (horrid, laggy, crappy) Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. They'll show up in your ports list like all other MIDI ports. Read the documentation before trying an install, as you'll need to use the Add Hardware wizard to get the best results. Avoid the 2.x versions of BassMIDI -- they've got latency issues thanks to the engine they used for that version.

Hello Again! Thank You! For responding to my query about QWS development! Now, I would really appreciate some suggestions from you about which programs/software I can use to play my MIDI controller keyboard using MIDI soundfonts as well as VST instruments As a side note MIDI Yoke will not even install on Windows 10. Apparently, Windows 10 does not like old dinosaur programs/software! So, when using QWS to use VST instruments. How does one connect in an accessible way QWS to VST instruments? If my questions/queries are not on topic here? Please! Kindly direct me to where they will be on topic? I do like QWS and hope that it will have a very bright future moving forward! Thank You! For all your kind and helpful responses to all of my messages!!! -- Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1903, Build 18362 - NVDA Version 2019.1.1 To unsubscribe or change list options, see http://lists.andrelouis.com for archived list posts, see http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To unsubscribe or change list options, see http://lists.andrelouis.com for archived list posts, see http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
