Candidates must demonstrate excellent qualifications in both research and teaching; applicants are expected to teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and conduct independent research. The ³2017 Generation Renewal² Competition is an initiative under coordinated by the General Vice-rectory of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. The First Calling recruited 230 scholars in all areas of knowledge. The goal of both Callings is to enhance graduate programs and research, as well as to consolidate links with civil society.
