The ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology at The University of Western Australia includes four groups undertaking research into energy metabolism and organelle genomics in Arabidopsis. The Centre has state-of-the-art equipment for microarray, proteomics and metabolomics and major resources for plant genetics, imaging and computing.
Starch Genomics - Beta-Amylase Function (REF 1137) Applications are invited from researchers to work on the role of beta-amylases, beta-amylase-like proteins and maltose function. Studies will include genetic analysis, protein-protein interactions, enzyme regulation and metabolome profiling. A PhD in molecular genetics, biochemistry or related discipline is essential.
