OK. One would have thought that the checks on CRAN would be consistent with the package pages which link to them. The summary table at check_results_sqldf.html does not actually give the version that is being tested so its only by clicking each of the links on the summary table that one would uncover this inconsistency. Regarding quoting, the mail server seems to reject posts from gmail for all sorts of unknown reasons and quoting large posts very well might be one of them so one has to be extremely careful.
