If you upgrade Mac OS X to the new version 10.3 and package installation
in RAqua stops working, try
dyld <- Sys.getenv("DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH")
Sys.putenv("DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH"=paste("/usr/lib",dyld,sep=":"))
If this doesn't work, or if it works and you don't have teTex or TeXShop
installed I would be interested to know
