I did indeed look up the article /"Interval Estimation for the Difference Between Independent Proportions: Comparison of Eleven Methods." /which I found here. /http://psychology.stanford.edu/~jlm/pdfs/Newcombe98Proportions.pdf/ It's above my current synaptic level, but I did learn that someone is awfully concerned about the accuracy of R's undergirdings. From this point on, I'm just going to enjoy the ride. And Peter: Yes, I did question the accuracy of R because of the Minitab result, but that has been the nature of my approach to my mostly semi-scientific endeavors. I do have your book "Introductory Statistics with R" as one of my several guides to this adventure.
