Hi, This code using facet_wrap works: require(ggplot2) DF <- data.frame(place=letters, value=runif(26), location=c(rep(1, 13), rep(0, 13))) qplot(data=DF, x=place, y=value, geom="bar", stat="identity") + coord_flip() + facet_wrap(~ location, scales = "free", ncol = 1) And using facet_grid: DF <- data.frame(place=letters, value=runif(26), location=c(rep(1, 13), rep(0, 13))) qplot(data=DF, x=place, y=value, geom="bar", stat="identity") + coord_flip() + facet_grid(. ~ location, scales = "free") Note that I switched the formula in facet_grid.
