That is definitely the place to start. Your version of R is 2.5 years old, and circular is up to version 0.4-3 on CRAN. I just checked, and circular 0.3-8 doesn't *have* arrows.circular. So you must be using some documentation from the internet for a newer version, rather than using the docs that go with what you have installed on your computer. You need to update R and your packages.
