If you use the Box.plot function in the car package (notice that here it's
Box.plot, not box.plot), and add the argument id.method=c("identify"), it
should work.
You only need one instruction:
R> library(car)
R> bp <- Boxplot(DATA$ave, data= DATA, main= "Average
Size",id.method=c("identify"))
