If you did exactly as you describe, then something is indeed wrong: pnorm(-1.53,0,1) # [1] 0.06300836 [R version 2.11.0 (2010-04-22)] as you expected. However: qnorm(0.05155075) [1] -1.63 so maybe you mistyped "1.63" instead of "1.53"? ------------------------------------------------- E-Mail: (Ted Harding) <ted.hard...@wlandres.net> Date: 16-Oct-2013 Time: 16:12:56 This message was sent by XFMail ______________________________________________ R-help@r-project.org mailing list https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-help PLEASE do read the posting guide http://www.R-project.org/posting-guide.html and provide commented, minimal, self-contained, reproducible code.
