Hi all, I did it today on Debian GNU Linux 8 Jessie this way:
vim /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://cran.uni-muenster.de/bin/linux/debian jessie-cran3 ESC;:wq apt.get update apt-get install r-base r-base-dev This worked for me. When installing R packages from within R I found that R needed the following: apt-get install libssl-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libhunspell-dev libxml2-dev You probably might to wish to install this also. HTH. For R 3.3.0, it would appear that it is about a day away from being available for release: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-6fc2c863b0 So for now, it would be available via the EPEL testing repos. Otherwise, you can wait until it is available via release in the next day or so, or download the RPMS directly here: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=762521 Regards, Marc Schwartz ______________________________________________ R-help@r-project.org mailing list -- To UNSUBSCRIBE and more, see https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-help PLEASE do read the posting guide http://www.R-project.org/posting-guide.html and provide commented, minimal, self-contained, reproducible code. ______________________________________________ R-help@r-project.org mailing list -- To UNSUBSCRIBE and more, see https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-help PLEASE do read the posting guide http://www.R-project.org/posting-guide.html and provide commented, minimal, self-contained, reproducible code.
