Hi Greg It works! Thanks. I've noticed a lot of general Heron-unhappiness re. ImageMagick. 'Appreciate that ImageMagick isn't really your domain, but it might be helpful to put up a solution page somewhere.
postcript 1 - my apologies. I sent this off to the wrong list... I really should have used the Bioconductor list. Careless clicking of 'send to'. postscript 2 -thanks for the 2.6 spot. I am actually running 2.9. I didn't notice that my bioconductor libraries are going into my 2.6 folder. Not sure why that is. Presumably its only a cosmetic problem.
