Thanks. I have 10.5.8 with R 2.10.0 now (i still had 2.9 in my previous messages). I also have gcc-4.2 installed but no Xcode package.
It still fails to install - can it be the Xcode package? Where can I find it - I don't have my install CDs with me and will not get them soon?
