[R] number of location attribute with its name

hi everybody, a question, as I can know the location (number) of an
attribute with its name.

Ej.

X1  X2  X3  X4  X5  X6
1   3   5   2   1   7
6   7   4   5   2   9

as I can know that the attribute "X4" is in position 4
