I would like to fit a gaussian mixture model to a vector with about 50,000 points. I have tried using Mclust to do so, but 50,000 points requires more memory than I have (and I am running with 4Gb). Any other suggestions for how to do so? Oh, I don't know the number of components, but the number will likely be less than 5 or 6.
