Hi, I'm (currently forced to) use Win XP. I actually found an easy way to solve the problem of installing the rJava package. To avoid the problems with the proxy I just downloaded the zip file and installed the package in R from a local source. Now I can use the JRI libraries in eclipse by adding the jar to the path. It works fine.
Using the libraries is now another issue...I will see how well it works and if the results are what I need.
