Maybe t.test?

 x <- c(20,25,15,10)
t.test(x-17)

        One Sample t-test

data:  x - 17
t = 0.1549, df = 3, p-value = 0.8867
alternative hypothesis: true mean is not equal to 0
95 percent confidence interval:
 -9.771301 10.771301
sample estimates:
mean of x
      0.5
