Hi Chris -- RWebServices provides a way to expose R functionality as (SOAP-based) web services.
http://bioconductor.org/packages/2.0/bioc/html/RWebServices.html This might be more than you are looking for, and has not been tested on MacOS (which seems to be your platform).
