Graham, Well sort of, I got it up and running, but ran out of time to go any further. My "lets spend 10 minutes having a quick look at rattle" ended up taking rather a long time !!.
I will get back to it soon, and give it a shot. I may be on Ubuntu 9.10 by then. Thanks for asking.
