Yes.
I found the issue. I had to use deb instead of deb-src in
/etc/apt/sources.list.

deb http://<favorite-cran-mirror>/bin/linux/debian lenny-cran/

And for the rest of people trying to update, update is not possible
for version previous to 2.7.1 .
