Dear all,
registrations are now open for the Physalia online course: Design, Implement &
Promote Species Monitoring in R.
Dates: 14–16 October 2025

This course offers a comprehensive and practical introduction to the design and
analysis of long-term species monitoring protocols using R. You’ll gain
hands-on experience with robust and reproducible methods, including Census,
Capture-Mark-Recapture (CMR), distance sampling, site occupancy, and N-mixture
models.

This course is ideal for students, researchers, NGO staff, and practitioners
working in ecology, conservation, or environmental science. Prior basic
experience with R is helpful but not strictly required — all scripts will be
provided and explained step by step.
