Hi everyone

Instats is excited to offer a 2-day seminar, Single-Cell Analysis with
Bioconductor
<https://instats.org/seminar/single-cell-analysis-with-bioconductor>, running
livestreaming September 5 – 19 and led by Director of Computational Biology
from Harvard Medical School, professor Ludwig Geistlinger. Although single-cell
RNA-seq is rooted in molecular biology, its techniques align closely with
questions ecologists and natural-systems scientists face when disentangling
heterogeneity within complex communities—whether profiling functional cell
types in coral symbioses, tracing immune responses in wildlife disease studies,
or linking root-microbiome variation to plant fitness. Over four live sessions
you’ll work in R/Bioconductor to learn end-to-end workflows: data import,
quality control, dimensionality reduction, clustering, cell-type
identification, multi-sample differential expression, and effective
visualisation. The course also demonstrates seamless hand-offs to Seurat,
Scanpy/scverse, and public atlases (e.g. Human Cell Atlas) so you can integrate
reference annotations or environmental metadata. By the end, you will be able
to design and analyse single-cell experiments that reveal fine-scale ecological
and physiological patterns, adding a new layer of resolution to studies of
population health, adaptation, and ecosystem functioning.

Sign up today
<https://instats.org/seminar/single-cell-analysis-with-bioconductor> to secure
your spot, , and please share with colleagues and students working in ecology,
conservation, and natural-systems research who could benefit!

Best wishes
