This course introduces the use of R as a powerful GIS tool for reproducible 
mapping and spatial analysis of environmental and biodiversity data. 
Participants will learn how to:

Understand the basics of GIS, mapping, and projections

Import, manage, and visualize spatial data in R

Perform spatial operations and analyses

Produce, export, and share reproducible maps
The program combines theory, live demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, with 
extensive remote support for practicals across time zones. Prior experience 
with R is recommended, but all scripts will be provided and explained.
