Hello,

Join us for alive, interactive online coursedesigned to strengthen your
understanding of statistical modelling using R. The course is divided
intofive modules(approximately40 hoursin total), each combininglive
teaching sessionswithhands-on exercises using real datasets. All
sessions are also available ason-demand videos, and adedicated
discussion boardensures daily interaction between instructors and
participants.

You’ll also receive aone-hour personal video meetingwith the instructors
for tailored feedback and guidance.

*Course content*
We begin with a concise introduction to R and a step-by-step protocol
for data exploration to help you avoid common statistical pitfalls.
You’ll learn how to detect outliers, address collinearity, and apply
transformations. We then move on tomultiple linear regression, explained
from a biological perspective, and discuss common issues and how to
solve them.

Next, we introducegeneralised linear models (GLMs)for analysing count,
continuous, presence–absence, and proportional data. Finally, we
exploregeneralised additive models (GAMs)— a flexible smoothing
technique for situations where parametric models such as linear
regression or GLMs are not sufficient.

Whether you’re new to R or looking to deepen your applied statistical
skills, this course will give you the tools and confidence to analyse
real-world data effectively.
