Dear all,
The Physalia Introduction to Machine Learning with R course is taking place
place online from 16 to 20 February 2026.

Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course43/
]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course43/ )

This course is designed to provide a broad, hands-on introduction to machine
learning and multivariate data analysis methods tailored for biologists and
life scientists working with omics datasets.

In this course, participants will:

Understand core machine learning concepts and algorithms

Learn to apply supervised and unsupervised learning techniques

Gain practical experience with advanced R libraries, including tidymodels

Explore real-world biological datasets through interactive exercises

Topics include Random Forest, SVM, PCA, UMAP, and more
The course runs daily from 2 PM to 7 PM Berlin time, combining lectures with
practical demonstrations and plenty of opportunities for discussion and Q&A.

This course is ideal for researchers and students with a foundational
understanding o[ f statistics and the R programming language ](
https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/fmc/ )who want to expand
