Dear r-sig-ecology members,
We are pleased to announce an upcoming in-person course on Marine Genomics,
taking place 25–29 May at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) in
Heraklion, Crete (Greece).

This 5-day course provides a hands-on introduction to marine and population
genomics, with a strong focus on practical data analysis.

Most analyses will be performed using UNIX command-line tools and R.

Participants will work with real marine datasets and learn how to:

Assess genome assemblies and reference resources

Process sequencing data (QC, mapping, variant calling, filtering)

Perform population genomics analyses (genetic diversity, structure, demography)

Integrate genomic and environmental data (seascape genomics)

Run and interpret environment–genomics association analyses
