All,
I have a couple of shapefiles that I would like to read in directly from a website (actually a local server that is shared). I have been unable to figure out how to get this to work.
I have of course tried the obvious, shpf<-readOGR(dsn="http://111.11.11.1/data","layername"), to no avail.
Any hints would be greatly appreciated!
