The Journal of Statistical Software (JSS) now reached an impact factor
of over 4., and recently ended highest in the category "statistics and
probability" on the ISI web of knowledge ranking [1].
Special issues of JSS are very popular and get a lot of citations [2].
We now invite papers for a special issue of the Journal of Statistical
Software on "Spatial Statistics". The conditions are the regular ones of
JSS submissions [3], but the paper should in addition focus on (some
area of) spatial statistics, e.g.
- geostatistics
- lattice data
- point pattern analysis
- Gaussian Markov random fields in spatial statistics
- spatio-temporal statistics
Authors who intend to submit an article for this special issue are
strongly encouraged to submit paper title, authors, and a preliminary
abstract to edzer.pebe...@uni-muenster.de before Mar 1, 2013.
Guest editors for this special issue are:
Edzer Pebesma
Paulo Justiniano Ribeiro Jr
Roger Bivand
Deadline for papers is Jun 1, 2013.
