FWIW, we tested the R-devel sonoma-arm64 builds and system libraries quite extensively and all seems stable. Thanks for the amazing work!
Maybe it is time to remove the big-sur-arm64 installer and instructions soon because we had some issues with users still using these without realizing that the binary packages for this build are no longer updated.
