Hi All,
I've been experimenting with where I can and cannot use rgl. I'm
running the CRAN release of R 2.2.1, and installed the rgl binary
package. It works well when I'm within R.app. However, when I go into
R from either a Terminal or xterm command line, and try to use rgl,
the rgl window pops up, but it is afflicted by the spinning beach
ball of death, and never is able to raster the image. Is there a way
to build the rgl package (and perhaps libpng) so that it is more
flexible in terms of one's route into R?
