This is a problem both on 2.6.2 and 2.7.0 for Mac. When I try to print a quartz window drawing directly with the File/Print command, it will only print vertical. Setting to print horizontal with Page setup does not work.
One way to get around this is to save the .pdf file and print it with Acrobat Reader. It's a pain.
