Just upgraded to the latest R and I'm seeing a problem. When I quit R (using
cmd-Q or the icon) and choose to *save* the Workspace image, it wipes out my
.Rhistory file and makes a new, empty one. If I *don't save* the workspace
image .Rhistory works as expected, meaning that my commands from the latest
session are appended to the history file and available in the next session.

I'm pretty sure this is new behavior as I used to do this all the time
earlier. I'm using:

R version 2.11.0 (2010-04-22)
R.app GUI 1.33 (5582) i386-apple-darwin9.8.0
on Snow Leopard 10.6.3

Has anyone else seen this, and is there a fix? Sorry if this has been
answered - I've been away from this group for a while and it looks like it's
impossible to search the group...

(In the past I've dealt with a .Rhistory file problem because I was using
q() at the prompt. Using cmd-q or the switch icon on the GUI fixed that
problem back then).
Thanks,
V.
