Dear experts in phylogenetic comparative methods,

When I ran the fitMk function from phytools (actually the fitMk.parallel I was
using), I got a message saying "R thinks optimization may not have converged”.

Would this be a problem if I continue to use the Qmatrix generated by fitMk for
downstream analysis such as simmap? Or how can I fix this by letting the
function run longer until it finds a better solution?

Thank you very much in advance!

Kind regards
Ting-Wen
