Dear all,
We are excited to announce our upcoming online course, Phylogenetic Comparative
Methods in R, designed to introduce students, researchers, and professionals to
the essential tools and techniques for analyzing evolutionary patterns using
phylogenies.

Course Dates: 12-16 May 2025
Website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course44/ ](
https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course44/ )

What You’ll Learn:
Theoretical and practical aspects of generating ultrametric (time-calibrated)
phylogenies.
Reconstructing trait evolution and investigating rates of lineage
diversification.
Hands-on experience with R for phylogenetic comparative methods.
Target Audience:
This course is ideal for advanced undergraduates, graduate students,
researchers, and professionals familiar with molecular evolution concepts and
R. (Basic knowledge of molecular evolution and R is recommended.)

Program Highlights:
Bayesian time-calibration and molecular clock methods (using Beast).
Trait evolution models, ancestral reconstructions, and diversification analyses.
Historical biogeography and advanced visualization in R.
Best regards,
Carlo
