I can do it. I've done a lot of thinking about that over the past ten years
or so. Also, I was hoping to have a functional prototype of the antho
website done by then (sans graphics) -- I sketched out an IA* a couple of
weeks ago but haven't had time to do anything with it yet.

Re. [1]: Everybody's got opinions. Two things are endlessly fascinating for
me about how this kind of stuff plays out on the web:

a: The bar for success can be much lower, inherently, if you manage your
costs well.
b: Because cost can be low, the *criteria* for success can shift around such
that money becomes much less important.

One of the upshots of this is that it's often extremely difficult not only
to predict success, but to define it.

Re. [2]: That presumes we should *have* a model. My take on that, at least
right now (and forgetting about the anthology for the moment) is that we
[sh]/[c]ould take the approach of giving aid and comfort** to members who
are doing their own interesting things. Keep R-SPEC out of it
administratively. But I admit, it would be nice to take part in defining
something.***

*Information Architecture, and it's in my other notebook.
**(which aid need not be monetary and comfort need not be extreme)
***Can you tell I've been reading a lot of David Foster Wallace, lately?
