David Pogue of the NY Times has a great column today of the best tech ideas of 2009. The last idea on the list is truly life-changing. It's even better than the dual-screen camera that lets the subject of the picture see themselves as the camera sees them. It's an app called Readability that removes all ads, banners and other clutter from a webpage. You only get the text and pictures that you wanted, like an ebook. It takes less than a minute to set-up. Just choose your settings (you can see how a page would look with the example text on their website), and drag a link to your browser bookmark bar. Then click on the title in the bookmark bar, "Readability", whenever you want a clear view of a webpage. As Pogue says, "Times Square just goes away." And adding to its appeal - its free.
